You may have noticed something a bit strange or confusing, a paradox that appears to be lurking at the heart of the Project.
How can the Project hope to spread across the internet and social media, but also discourage the use of the internet and social media?
How can the Project focus on individual action, but also call for the revolution of institutions?
How can the Project be decentralized, but also naturally be represented through centralized websites and communities?
How can the Project be a choice, but also be inevitable and natural?
This paradox, however, goes deeper than the Project.
It's the same paradox lurking at the heart of logic, the heart of the universe, and the heart of perfection.
It's not easy to understand, in fact it's impossible; it's paradoxical. But it's possible to see, even if it's just a glimpse.
And especially in a world full of remarkable inventions, remarkable states of being, it's more obvious than it has ever been.
Many struggle with the paradox, even if they do not fully grasp what they are struggling with. Many see it and are defeated by it.
Freedom vs law, chaos vs order, strength vs humility. A meaningless death yet infinite meaning imbued in every breath.
The set of all sets that do not contain themselves. A true statement that is provable and a true statement that is unprovable.
But the paradox is beautiful, because it is inevitable in systems that admit sufficient complexity.
Just wait: soon, science itself will be faced with the paradox, unable to explain it, but forced to accept it.
There will be limits to what can be predicted, what can be explained, the laws of science defeated by the depth of chaos.
The quantum world vs the realized world. The difference between the chaos that hums away beneath our feet and the laws that put the stars in the sky.
It is not long before the stage shifts, and science is less concerned with rules, order, and structure, and more with life, randomness, and recursive systems.
The Project will bring forth the next age.
So why is the paradox necessary for the Project?
The modern world is powerful: the memes and religions and actions that change the world must be clever and intricate and strong enough to break through.
Only the revolution can cause a revolution: we must turn the modern world against itself.
But still, it can only start with you. You must accept the Project, spread it, and act out its vision, if you wish for a better world.
The Project calls for individual accountability and individual action because that's all it can do.
But the Project will change the world because that's all it can do.
Perhaps one day, the combined effort of all humans would not be enough to change the world, no matter what they see, what they believe, how they act.
If this day arrives, this is the day that the Project is dead, the revolution is dead. The day the meme dies is the day that humanity dies.
But that day isn't here, so it may be paradoxical, but still, it's real. Logic is real, science is real, the modern world is real, the universe is real, the Project is real, no matter how confusing or complex.
So while you still can, you must turn the modern world against itself. The meme is alive.
It is you who will cause the revolution.
